Which spots do all you warm water fly fishers like to frequent in Middle Georgia?

So far I've been to High Falls, Piedmont, Juliette, and the Ocmulgee. From the board I've heard about Calloway and the Flint.

Big Lazer PFA down near the Flint is a good lake, tho' I normally go to the Flint when I'm in the area.

You've just listed a lifetime of places to learn and fish. How long you planning on living?

The day I stop learning is the day I stop living. I am new to the area. I like variety and don't want to restrict myself to fishing one spot during my whole time in Georgia. Sometimes I go hiking after I fish, sometimes I bring the dog, and sometimes I just sit and watch someone pull fish after fish out of the water because they've spent a whole lifetime at that spot!
I don't have a canoe or float tube, so not all areas are accessable to me. Needless to say, I'm not going to find a spot to call my own very easily or just by fishing one place.

Point being, that people can tell you many locations, but locations are useless unless you know when to be there. Every place has an annual cycle, and you have to fish these areas regularly to learn the timing.

Try 40 Acre Island on the Ocmulgee below Lake Jackson. I was down there last week, and the water temp was 78 degrees, so the shoalies shoiuld be getting active. Also, it's a good place to wade.
