Do you believe the Toccoa River tailwater was harmed from the water level changes due to the repairs/inspection of Blue Ridge Dam? I've noticed a lack of trout activity and seemingly fewer insects.
Thanks,
James
James....When where the repairs done to the dam? I fished there this past summer and did good.

Flyguy,
The repairs were done right after the summer fishing season up there, I think around the last part of Sept. The dropped the lake level to 80' (constant generation all fall) then stopped generation (Dec I think) and ran a lower flow than normal (110cfs or so) for a few months. River generation/levels are finally back to "Normal".

James...To the best of my knowledge the tail water of the Taccoa is for the most part stock with hatchery fish each year. Although there are some hold overs the biggest number of fish caught will be stockers and I can't see where the fishing would be harmed if the water is back to normal. I guess we will find out here shortly.
Fish on.....
