Effective License date?

I need to know what the affective/effective (never was good at that one) license date is of the new fangled computer license I just bought. I'm going to Marben tomorrow and want to be within the law. The license year end date is 3/31/2000. Someone (Nightowl-stirring things up again http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif ) mentioned that it wouldn't go into effect until the 31st. Is the new computer licenses this way? Needing help,

I was told when I bought mine that DNR would honor them now, but do not, DO NOT try to tell the ranger that old bw said so. Find out for sure. Maybe Bill Couch will have a chance to reply to this before you leave; otherwise, call and confirm.

I was checked for a license this weekend. The new '99 license is valid from the date you purchase it.

Goldman is correct. Licenses purchased during the month of March are honored for the following period.

Well, I'll be....unless I'm living in a cave( or a doghouse!) this is the first time I've ever heard of a lic. in GA being honored from the date purchased! Course, I could be wrong......glad to hear of the new change !

The date of purchase only includes the month of March. Licenses will be available earlier in the future, but wonn't be effective until March 1.
