I know that powerbait, scents, etc. are illegal in the artificial only waters in GA. A fellow angler recently told me that all soft plastics are now illegal in the Chattahoochee tailwaters? Is this true? Does it apply to all artificial only waters?
Thanks!!

I;m not really the one to answer , but I think someone was pulling your leg. Fin-S- Fishes rule! ( and are scentless)

Last year I watched a guy fish at Cooper's Creek with one of those soft plastic baits. After awhile, I went to him and asked how he was trying to get the trout into his creel, by catching them or just scaring them to death.

I asked Sgt. James Bell with our Law Enforcement Section (DNR L.E.). James asid plastic baits were legal, except those made by Berkley, Brown Bear or any others that were scented. This should apply to other areas with artificial only regs. Call DNR L.E. at Gainesville 770 535 5499 for any necessary clarification.
