Smithgall Woods Dukes Creek Conservation Area

Have they stocked this stream in recent years, or are they letting these fish naturally reproduce without intrusion of stockers. I was curious, that it might help even out the total catch rate, and help the fishing, and prevent the fish from becoming too hook shy, and too smart.

The stream was stocked once this year, and will probably not be stocked any more. Possibly next year.

Has the stockings in the past seemed to have an effect on the wild/holdover fish? I heard that the stockers compete with wild fish, especially the bigger wild/holdovers fish for territory/lies and food.
