Bill Couch, and Lisa Klien!

I talked with Bill by phone, and Lisa by E-mail. They both have been told to not post, or at least not post during work hours. There supervisor is concerned that corrensponding with folks throught this board will effect work productivity. And they hav been asked not to post anything that would potray them as a voice for the DNR, or representing the DNR. The DNR feels that not one person should represent them, on any other site other than there own. This leaves Bill and Lisa, very little to say indeed, what they say is now very limited, and as well is the frequency of there posts. This does not mean a person cannot query with them about certain matters, it just means that it must be done by phone, fax, or even E-mail, and they are to respond on off work hours.

Anyone with a question can still get it answered, you just have to go to the DNR web site http://www.dnr.state.ga.us ---"search"-----"comments") and all the questions will be referred to whoever specializes in that topic.

Hope this answers your suspisions! I suggested to Bill that I could post something, and he gave an OK. He said that he would come back and post something of a final post.

Ican understand not wanting to disrupt productivity. But "Ask The DNR" may be a misnomer. It was really "Ask Bill" with Lisa helping out when she could. I had hoped (and still do) we could get more folks in the know to answer questions because this is an open forum and gets correct anwers to a lot of misinformation. Without making alot of knee-jerk assumptions, I hope something can be worked out because they sure answered a lot of my ignorant questions.

Thanks for checking, phlyster, it confirmed our suspicions.

Drifter said it best a few weeks ago, but both of these folks have given of their time and energy to bring smiles and joy to children of all ages, plus boatloads of straight info to us, and their virtual presence will be sorely missed.
