I've never heard of that Creek! Where is it, and is it stocked or wild?

Haven't fished Tickanetly in years. The part I used to fish is now posted and I don't know were there's any public access. There used to be rainbows in the creek and I would guess there still are, maybe further upstream than you're fishing. As far as I know, Tickanetly is open during the regular trout season and will close on Oct. 31.

tickanetly is in gilmer county, ihave just leased 1 mile of frontage on it and have caught some monster browns but no bows, the landowner says that there are some nice rbs in it but i have not caught any yet.i will do some stocking this fall and we will see how it goes with the rainbows next spring.

Sounds like someone has acquired their own little piece of paradise. Maybe?
Blessings to all who grow fat trout.

Tickanetly is a stream in northern gilmer county .it is almost completely on private land.i have a portion of it leased to guide fly fishing trips on .it has a very good population of browns but i am not sure about rbs.fished it last week and caught 12 browns mostly in the 10 to 13 inch range with one going about 17.i may do some supplemental stocking this fall of large female rbs.
