View Full Version : Gates at Jones Bridge
Hey anyone know what time they open the gates. I am concerned about the one on the opposite side of the river from the pavilion ( i.e. canoe launch ramp area.)
Thanks,
Jeff, they are usually never closed. Occasionally a prankster will close them, but they are never locked and you can easily trip the latch and open them.
Hooker,
Thanks as always. Havent fished that shoals area since the "Fling" this spring. Would like to see it when the water is down instead of falling like that morning.
Hopefully the river gods will smile on Sat..

Hooker's right. I arrived at Jones Bridge at 7 am today and woke up a young lady who obviously had spent the night there in the back of her SUV.
By the way. The fish were on this morning. Water temps were 54 - 58F. Did well with a Rio Grande Trude and Caddis Emerger trailer fishing downstream. Later, a Pheasant Tail Nymph was attractive to them. Gary B was there and took over 20.
So, looks like the morning is the ticket at Jones during the summer based on my last few trips.
