I just took a look at the Hoochcam, and much to my suprise, the river wasn't the color of chocolate milk. What is up with that? Is the construction starting to subside, so when it does rain, it doesn't effect the river? I used to not even think about going until two days after a rain. Looks like I could fish in the rain now. HMMMMM

In the 60's the hootch was a clear as any mountain stream 2 -3 days after a rain. I mean gin clear. Today it never gets that clear even when we have not had rain for a month. The last time I was on the river, the creek at Swanee was pouring mud into the river. It looked like red cement, and it had not rained in days.
Skipped out of work early yesterday thinking I could fish my home stretch ( south of settles) for a while. Couldn't see the bottom two feet off the bank, ended up doing yard work.....
