As a relaively new Hooche man, I have a few questions I am sure you experts can handle. How long does it normally take for the water clarity to recover? In the meantime, are there any areas that are still fishable?
Is there a place on the NGTO that shows water release times? How does the release effect fishing? What should I be looking for?
Thanks in advance for you help. Someday I hope to be able to provide some wisdom on my own.

The river usually clears after a couple of days but after a very heavy rain, it may take longer. The water just below Buford d@m is clear most of the time. I have found the fishing to be good just after power generations stops. You can hear a recording of water release times by calling 770-945-1466...which is always a good thing to do. Tightlines.
