Buford Dam gets a work out

Go ahead, rub it in. While you guys were tearing them up, I spent the afternoon at Island Ford, where I broke my wading staff, lost my net, and caught a total of one small foul-hooked trout. Oh, well, at least there was no swimming involved. http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gif

We got in around 11:30 below the Dam. Me ,Ichthus,Tentwing and Braz. Right off these guys start catching trout.Then I look across the river and there stands Debacker and im thinking to myself man im never going to catch anything now. I watched these guys catching trout for 3 1/2 hours almost non-stop one after the other. Every time I looked around their rods were bent over and they were yelling out stuff like mini micro midge with a super griffy emerger dropper and such like that. At one point Tentwing threw in a Pink Harlot streamer so I could at least catch it when it was floating by me that was my first catch after 3 hours . Finally right above Bowmans Island I got into a few with with my now beat to death streamer. What a great Day! Lets do it again real soon I enjoyed it. http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/smile.gifOh yeah some of them did get to see my "Walking upstream streamer technique" its not as pretty as the "Slim Jim Drift" but just as effective. http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/wink.gif
