I have fished below Morgan Falls for years, catching mostly Brown Trout, with an occasional Rainbow. Yesterday, I caught about a dozen Rainbows and not a single Brown Trout. I saw quite a few chasers, but none were Browns as far as I could tell.
Has anyone caught any Browns lately below Morgan Falls??

Kraaken,

Yes. Some nice ones in the DH areas. Sometimes about 25% of the catch. But this is during cloudy/rainy days or during low light periods. Also, a lot of the fish chasing small flies on or near the top are the smaller fish stocked as fingerlings early in the fall. These have all been rainbows.

About a month ago I went out to the DH section and tore up the browns. Some of them must have been brood fish from the Buford hatchery because they averaged around 12". Were you fishing dry flies, wet flies, or spinners?

I was using a #14 prince nymph mostly, as there wasn't much of a hatch going on.
Also used a #16 Hares ear. Both were effective on rainbows, just no browns.
