I've been enjoying the site and the Board for a year or more, but just got around to joining. I am on the verge of retirement (about 10 weeks) and should have more time to fish by the end of May. Among my goals for retirement are to learn to fly fish, to learn to tie my own flies, and to catch trout on a fly I tie. I have a long way to go and certainly need all the help I can get. This web site has certainly stimulated my interest.
I live in Griffin and have a cabin near Blairsville. Anyone else on the site from near Griffin or Blairsville?

i might as well be from up there as i am always finding myself in blairsville. Ever eat at the rib shack? if you are up there and wanna eat some fall off the bone rubs ... it rocks. IF you see a red miata with a flyrod or two hanging out of it .... it is probably me.

Ditto Enigma's recommendation on The Rib Shack. Went to Blairsville first week of the season last year & ate so much & was so full I almost slept thru opening day.
