Wading the Jones Bridge area

I need some help with advice for wading and fishing the Jones Bridge area with my 9 year old dauhgter.

Is the water too cold to wet wade?
Is there easy access for wading, are felt soled shoes recommended, also need advice on lures to use with ultra lite spinning tackle, and lastly best natural bait and how to properly present the natural bait.

My wife says I can't take my daughter w/o a life jacket, but I know with the heat she will be very uncomfortable. Any suggestions on alternative, comfortable PFD's.

Is the Jones Bridge area rocky and deep?

If you fish the Fulton side of JB park (down near the island) you can wet wade and the water is generally not over 2/3 feet deep in most sections (as long as the dam generation is not flowing through).

I personally choose not to use natural bait but I'm sure the usual corn and worm hatch will work. For spinning tackle I recommend white rooster tails and Little Cleo's for the deeper pools.

For a life jacket obviously SOSpenders are the best alternative but don't come cheap.
