My son (23 yrs old) and I are looking for public/private land to turkey hunt on. Does anyone know of a place? We are probably willing to pay for use. (within reason of course)We have applied for a WMA quota hunt but I doubt we will get it as this is our first request. Any help would be appreciated.
Check Woody's for tons of info. I think the turkey WMA quotas have been drawn and mailed, check it out to get the updated info: http://www.woodystaxidermy.com/forums/index.php
West Point WMA is a great place to turkey hunt and no quota. Just sign in one time.

Most WMAs do not have quota hunts and are open throughout the turkey season with just sign-in required. During the early part of the season and on the weekends you will find the most hunting pressure, but other times are not nearly as bad. I always enjoy hunting Allatoona, Paulding, and Pine Log, but that's mainly because they are the closest to me. John's Mtn and Pigeon Mtn in NW GA usually have good success ratios.

My son and I got lucky and got a quota permit for turkey at Blanton Creek WMA. I have never been there so if anyone knows anything about it let me know. We will be scouting it the next two weekends. Any help would be appreciated.
