Tailgating at Ga Tech

A group of us Miami Hurricane fans are going to the GTech v Miami game in a few weeks. I need to know if there are designated tailgating areas or preferred areas around Bobby Dodd Stadium? The group will be at least 10 people. Any information will be helpful.

Also, if anyone would like to join the pregame festivities please send me an email. Also, I might be looking for more tickets so if you have those I would appreciate an email also. Thanks & GO CANES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is one of only two sold out games for GTech this year. But you are right I am sure people will have tickets for sale of game day.

For my money you can't beat just chowing down on a Varsity chili dog. Plus you can watch, in comfort, any of the other games being televised.

The Allbarn fans parked their tractors and 4wd p/u trucks in the parking lot behind the Varsity. It's an easy walk under the expressway through the 3rd Street tunnel. No facilities in the lot so you'll hafta go to the V for restroom usage. There's a BP service station across from the V in case you need ice, chewing tobacco, snuff, etc.

There are much better places to tailgate on the campus but they are closely guarded secrets and you would not be welcomed http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ubbngto/wink.gif

Okay i have heard all the whining and complaining I possibly can stand. Yet no one has answered the question of where do you tailgate? Or is the truth that you don't tailgate you just buy tickets to sell them on game day?????????????????

You tailgate in and around campus. The campus is large enough and I am sure there are plenty of people. Your best bet is going on west campus because there is more room and less people. yes.

Frankly, 'Cane fans can tailgate in the vicinity of the Fulton County jail. Isn't that where some of the players matriculated?

That is where the Canes coached do their best recruiting...or is that where the players go after their 4 years is up? I believe it is jail or the NFL....GO CANES!!!!!!

the official tailgating area for miami fans has been designated to the Ga Tech library, where you can partake in studying some of your "preferred readings" such as "the south beach diet".
