Just wanted to let everyone know that we've added two new rivers to our Fishing Report page (www.thefishhawk.com). The South Fork of the Holston River and the Watauga River. They're both not terribly far away and offer some of the best fishing around.

Just keeping you guys updated,
James

I had the chance to fish both these rivers with some local experts about three weeks ago at the TU "Back The Brookie" five state meeting in Elizabethon, TN. Both are beautiful streams. But I must say I have never seen so much trash in a stream as the Holston. Old tires, furniture, really a shame to see such a lack of concern for any body of water. But now I know where to look for updates. Thanks FishHawk!

Johnkies,

That would be the Watauga you're thinking of. All that trash is a result of flooding. They did a group clean-up a couple of months back but it would take atleast 5 major clean-ups to get it all. It does look very sad though...looks like a garbage dump all the way down.

The SH is in awesome shape!

I don't know what's going on with these double posts. I'm hitting the button once like always.

Rusty is right, it's going to take a few more clean-ups before the Watauga is looking clean. I'm heading up next week for several days; hopefully the water will cooperate.
