Today the Georgia Council of Trout Unlimited is officially unveiling our 2005 Dream Flyfishing Vacation to the Green River Guest Ranch near Pinedale Wyoming fundraiser. You can go to www.georgiatu.org for all the details but here are the highlights.
Tickets are 10$ a piece
A winner will be drawn at the Georgia Foothills Chapter of TU annual banquet in March
One winner will be drawn and that person will choose a partner to accompany them on the trip
The winner and their partner will each receive the following:
6 nights food and lodging and 5 days fishing at the Green River Guest Ranch
One of the fishing days will be a float trip on the Upper Green with either head guide, Butch Martin, or Kyle Burrell(Hoover), it depends on their schedules
The trip will take place from July 23to July 29,2005(NON-NEGOTIABLE)
A Winston 9ft 5wt BoronIIX custom made fly rod by Mack Martin of North Georgia Custom Rods
An Orvis Battenkill Barstock reel with Scientific Anglers line
A fly box with approx. 5to 7 dozen flies for the trip
500$ towards airfaire NOTE: This is total, not per person
The retail value of this trip is approx. 5500.00$
At last check, round trip airfaire to Jackson, WY FROM Atl. was 174$
Please check the Council website for complete details, but those are the highlights.Tickets are available at both Unicoi Outfitters stores and at 4 Rivers Flyshop in Blairsville.They will also be available at all of the upcoming various TU chapter holiday parties, the Georgia Wildlife Federation Hunting and Fishing Expo in Feb, and the Atlanta Flyfishing Show, Feb 26and 27. I will also have tickets at the GWFF holiday party next Mon. If anyone reading this is from out of town or cannot attend any of these events and are interested in tickets, you can send me a self addressed envelope(I`ll pick up the postage) along with a check for the amount of tickets you want and your name, address, phone#, and e-mail address, and I will fill out your tickets, and mail you back the stubs. If you are so inclined, I will make copies of your filled out tickets and send them also. My address is

The proceeds from this raffle will go to funding the Georgia Council of TU`s annual youth flyfishing camp,the "Back the Brookie" campaign,and numerous other local conservation projects.
