Many builders are probably familiar with this upcoming show, but some of the beginners and those just thinking of becoming addicted may not. It is a great opportunity to learn beginning and advanced techniques from some of the best builders in the business. Also, it's a great opportunity to get hands on feel for blanks for that next (next few :) ) projects. And, there should be some great show prices for blanks, components, tools, etc.

btw, I have no vested interest in the show. Just thought it was an excellent nearby opportunity.

Anyone who is into rodbuilding absolutely has to go to this show. If you're not sure its worth the drive, trust me, its worth it and then some. Its probably the only chance you'll have to see and cast many of the rod blanks that are out there without buying one first. Last year I think I spent about four hours just at the Rainshadow booth. There will probably be some incredible deals as well, such as the handful of closeout Rogue blanks I got last year for $10 apiece.
