Lol, I finally get 2 weeks off, nothing to do but fish and the weather is gonna be very cold Sunday and Monday. Any ideas what this will do to the fishing in the DH areas (Smith and Chattooga)? Thanks in advance, you guys have been very helpful to me here and in your store,

It'll keep alot of people away. As for the fishing....you can never really tell, but you should have a good day ;) I hit Smiths last year in the snow and had a great day. Looks like I'll be off 12/27, if nothing happens....we should hit the water.

They'll be in the slower water for sure!

Actually they were in the faster water today. High Stick all the way.

If as much rain comes through as they're predicting, Smith Creek may be the best place to fish. The dam at Unicoi helps to regulate it somewhat and definitely keeps the mud out. When the water rises quickly, as it may do with this storm, fish the tailout areas first while the water is still high. It seems the fish hold there when a big slug of water comes through until they regain their bearings. As huntfish says, high sticking is the way to do it.
