These sites either interested me, or taught me, or are companies I've dealt with. I hope others will add their own favored sites and comments.

Rod Building Sites

Fly Anglers OnLine – Under Rod Building on Left side of page. This is Al Campbell’s 12-part article on rod building. I found it ideal (for me; maybe not you), and relied on it more than many other info sources.

Anglers Workshop – Great all-around source for Stuff (Rod Building & Fly Tying) I’ve seen how they dealt with a defective part – these folks are top drawer!.

Cabela’s – Order their Tackle Crafter and Fly Fishing catalogs online. Good Reference.

Hook and Hackle – Great all-around source for Stuff. Usually offer a 20% discount online that can be used on any type of order – Internet, phone call, etc.

Blue Ridge Rods – By David Edens formerly of Athens. Great guy – good rods/blanks/kits.

I’ve bought two blanks from him.

Custom Rod Builders Guild – The professionals. They have a bulletin board that may answers questions you have.
