Rod building thread

thought some of you rod builders out there might like to see this thread from antoher board. It is a pictorial of the building of a bamboo rod that a friend of mine is building for me and is very entertaining. Since it has start to finish pictures it is pretty cool.

You're right, really cool. Thanks for posting. It was fun following your friend along as he outsmarted Murphy and finished such a sweet looking rod.

I noticed in one post you picked up a Lacey rod. Would love to see pictures.

that is the link to the pics of the lacey rod. The intials ont he rod are my Dad's he died in June of this year. The rod was purchased with some money from his fishing trip "slush" fund that mom gave to me afte rhe died and i figured this woould be a fitting tribute to the man who taught me to fly fish. It is beatuiful ....... will last for generations and i still get to take dad fishing with me in a small way.
It is an absolute gorgeous rod....... iw ill show it off at the dreamlands run.... along witht he rod on the other post

he is very local. He lives in the gainesville ga area and is very tolerant of visitors and bamboo experts and newbies.
