Does have anyone have any information on these kits. The Walmart here Roswell on Mansell road has two Eagle Claw fly rod combo. Having not seen a Gainger rod yet I was wondering if this was one of those rods.
My nephew discovered it and wants it for next birthday.
The Combo includes:
A Mahogony colored IM6 5 pc 8'6 rod with titanium cover reel hoods and a wood insert.
The reel is a Large Arbor machined aluminum piece that looks a lot like a silver Ross Evolution knock off
A cordova covered rod and reel case.
Price $125.00 (the same as the Cabela stowaway - minus shipping and handling)
When you break out the component parts it looks like quite a deal: 5 pc rod, LA reel and case,
Couldn't find anything about it on the Eagle Claw web site or on the walmart site. The distributor is Laker Fishing Tackle. If anybody knows anything about these combos please share. I was going to get my nephew a Cabela stowaway 8'6 but now he wants this one instead. It is cute and he's now Sixteen go figure.
It might make a good entry set for anyone interested.
