Metrela/Jimmy;

Do you know of anywhere there is a timeline for when high water arrives at different points on the river?

I think I saw it posted here somewhere but can't find it. Also, with the extra 300cfs from the reworked powerhouse, seems like the water would get downstream a little faster than it used to.

Thanks,

Bill

Can only help with Curtis Switch. Takes 2 1/2 hrs for generation to reach it and about 3 hrs & 45 minutes before it's wadable after they cease generation. It actually takes 4 to 4 1/2 hours before it's at low flow again but it's wadable in 3 hrs & 45 minutes. Having said all that, please note that there are no trout within miles of this area and any reports to the contrary are pure propoganda. :) bob

I can speak to hogback (old railroad bridge). It takes just under an hour to rise and just over to go down. Going down is always slower than the rise.

Hope this helps.

Bob gave good info. To be safe, I'd start getting close to the bank at curtis switch at about 2 hours before release. It does seem to come a bit faster with the extra 300 cfs. Roughly hits about 2 hrs and 15 min, but I havent timed it in a while. been fishing closer to the dam.
