Those blanks that we were talking about at the Frostbite are about gone,(Or so my contact says). I don't think you will ever find a better blank for that price....I just picked up an 8' 5wt for $230 (it's an 8013). If you see something that sounds like something that you may want....jump on it man ;) This will be my bass and or big river rod. Maybe I have too many rods in the works at the moment..... I may have to donate one for the '05 Fall fling ;)

BTW, those blanks are TOP NOTCH!

BTW, if you haven't seen them, Golden Witch has had some cane blanks on Ebay lately dirt cheap.

Yes, the one that I picked up is a Dickerson taper.

If my memory serve`s me correctly,, that would be a 8ft. 4wt. But sometime`s my memory ain`t what it use to be;).

The tip sure looks like a 4wt, but the butt is a hog for a 4wt. I'll let you know what line I like on it when I finish it out ;) With most bamboo alot depends on how you cast. One of my 7012's has seen a 6wt line....it didn't like it too much, but I was able to throw it.
