Hey everybody! I got the day off tomorrow, so I'm heading to the Upper 'Hooch in Helen......any suggestions on some flies that may be working?
Thanks.

Here's a list of some recent success stories:
Z-Wing Tan Caddis
Brown Stonefly Nymphs (Small)
Pheasant Tails (Nat. and Yellow)
String the Z-Wing and either of the two other nymphs together as a double rig. Have fun, and hold on!

I appreciate it, Josh...
How's everything been going with you lately? I've noticed you've been tying at all of these events and winning casting contests everywhere you go--you need to get up to Montana, don't you?

I've never fly-fished with a setup like this before--how do I rig it?
Yes, I'm still ignorant.

Basically, all you need to do is tie your "lead" fly to your tippet or leader as you would if you were fishing a single nymph. Tie, off the bend of that fly, a piece of tippet 15 inches, or so, long and attach the second fly. Very simply. Can sometimes be difficult to cast in winds, and with casts over 40 feet--- but for the Hooch, you should be just fine.
I'm doing great. Thanks for asking, Tackler. Just been staying as busy as possible. God Bless.

Josh,
I used your setup and on the third cast, I landed a 20" brown. It was a great day to start the day! Hopefully, I'll have pics up soon.

I'm glad that my advice helped.
Let me know if I can ever help.
Also, can I put the photo up on The Modern Angler (http://joshbarnett.cjb.net)?

Sure thing. I have to get the pics developed, and I still have about 20 left on that roll of film, and I have to buy a USB cable to hook up my scanner, so it may be a few weeks. I'll shoot em to ya as soon as I have them.

A 20inch brown on the upper hooch is quite an accomplishment. Congrats.

Thanks...I was extremely happy with it. I'm fairly new to the sport...been at it for about a year now, and that is the first Brown I've ever caught on a fly. It was an incredible feeling! I'm even more hooked now!

I'm sure as heck jealous. I fished a section thru the lower end of town Sat Pm and didn't even get a strike ( nor did the spin fisherman I talked to). And I've been chasing trout for 15 years in N Ga and haven't seen a brown that big. Congrats.
