Not sure what if these would work...and they are also a little more expensive than 60 but Keen and Chaco make some good sandals.

Simms makes a nice pair in that I believe is in that price range. Haven't tried any, I worry bout stubbin my tender toes on a rock.
Check your email, I just sent you some info I found useful! Hope it helps :)

Retails at $89.95 comes with closed toe guard to prevent stubbing those toes and helps keep sand/pebbles out, plus it has a felted sole.

those are nice but i think i may wait for something a little more affordable or a sale hahaha yeah right
I was just looking over the Simms catalog and saw those this morning and thought they looked good. Care to share the info Mike gave you. I'm looking for something for this summer as well.
I forwarded the same information to you at your hotmail address link and sent both of you a link to a site that has chotas on sale, but in limited quantities and sizes.

I've got a pair of Chotas, but I don't wear them too much anymore - too many banged toes, feet, and ankles. I have a pair of boots one size smaller that my regular boots that I wear with neoprene socks when I wet wade.
My 2 cents - ymmv

What happened Mike, did those ones I gave you finally fall apart? ;)
Here's the ones I wear. They've worked out great for me.

orvis has two pair that I would look into getting before I would get a sandal, just because I am not a fan of my ankles and toes getting mauled everytime my foot slides on a rock.
The have the wet wading shoe.... http://www.orvis.com/store/product_choice.asp?pf_id=28XA&feature_id=&dir_id=758&group_id=777&cat_id=5421&subcat_id=6047&shop_id=
And the teva hydro boot.... http://www.orvis.com/store/product_choice.asp?pf_id=53HK&feature_id=&dir_id=758&group_id=777&cat_id=5421&subcat_id=6047&shop_id=
each of these look like great options for hot summer fishing.

I was digging through my stuff and found these things I bought this summer in Hawaii. They are felt bottom and all the pig hunters in Hawaii wear them. I believe they are made with a studded bottom too. They are cheap and japanese...ill give you the name of them soon. I think they would work perfectly.

Endless,
I use the sandals that Orvis makes, the ones recommended by Baldea, and haven't had any problem with them. My choices of where to stand, however, are another thing....
Check w/ Unicoi. I know they used to carry them too.
