Betty Creek
March 26 - Clean up of Betty Creek; We will be clearing out brush and low hanging limbs over the creek to provide casting room for the youth attending the 2nd annual Georgia Trout Camp. We have about a mile of the creek to work so we need a lot of help. We will meet at 9 AM at the stream in Dillard. As you travel north on US441 into Dillard, you will cross the bridge over Betty Creek. Immediately pass the bridge, turn left into a gravel lane down to the creek and footbridge. Bring looping shears, bow saws, work gloves, waders, water bottle, etc.
If we have plenty of help we will finish early enough to fish that afternoon (it's opening day and the caddis are hatching in the afternoons) and then that evening attend the Satolah Volunteer Fire Department barbeque & bluegrass benefit featuring The Foxfire Boys and Curtis Blackwell's Dixie Bluegrass Band.
