Cream Caddis, Yellow Stoneflies, and Light Cahill Mayflies are beginning to show-up in the afternoons and evenings on the Chattooga. Try size 14 or 16 cream or ginger dry flies such as elk hair caddis, parachute light cahill, or stimulator. For some extra action, tie a small nymph on a 2 to 3 foot dropper trailing behind your dry fly. Don't forget to check the batteries in your flashlight.

Now, if Josh will not just bring his "Athenites" post to the head of the line, we of the Rabun Chapter invite you to the...

Bucket Raffle - Bring items to donate and a few extra bucks for raffle tickets. There will be elk hair caddis & parachute light cahills in the raffle as well as a lot of other neat items.
Business - Planning of the May 11-15 (Wed-Sun) Fishing & Camping Outing - Fishing the Chattooga DH, Backcountry, Ellicott Rock Wilderness, East Fork &/or Burrell's Ford areas with Camping at Cherry Hill C.G. off SC Highway 107.
Bring a buddy, visitors are always welcome to attend.
And it is the evening after the "Athenites" get-together.
Pay attention to the Outing scheduled for May the 11th-15th...ever fished around the bend or through the Gorge on the Chattooga? This just might be your chance. Well, the Gorge just might be a little high this time of the year....August would be better.
