Reel Seat Question

I've ordered Struble seats in the past, and was explicitly ordering skeletons w/a specific insert.

Do REC reel seats come in skeleton form, or are they epoxied already? They sure have some purrty wood, but I imagine I'll still want to play around with my stains.
