Hey Robert, got it wrapped yesterday and the first coat on it. I'm using Orange jasper on the guides and Man-O-War red can finish. I can see I should have used a CP on the wraps and took a little more time on them, but I believe it will still catch a fish. The repair wrap went pretty smooth. Used the white gossamer and coated it with an 80/20 varnish/mineral spirit mix. It turned out OK with a small light spot showing. I hope to have a final dip coat on it next week and be able to fish it Saturday.

Good to hear brother. If you want almost perfectly clear wraps....you gotta try that stuff GW has. It's a reallllllly reallllly slow curing oil and get's all the air bubbles out of the silk, or at least almost all. It's a little pricy, but it will last forever......wish I could find the time to finish out the two blanks I have made. Work sucks for the most part, it takes away from the fun things in life ;)
