Very good story James. I fish Settles Bridge from time to time, so the photo spread on the first two pages was nice.

Looks like the images were taken in late April timefame but I'm guessing last year. Who were your fisherman models in the photos?

Taken May of this year at Settles. The two fishermen are Chris Scalley and myself in the boat and yours truly in the single inset. Richard Bernabe took those two shots while we were out doing a secondary shoot for the piece. Chris and I hooked a ton of fish that day, including a big ole bass which I lost.

The images were taken in May? Good heavens, when did FF go to press? I assumed they had a March or April lock up for a June issue. But if they can wait, more power to 'em.

What an article! Made me want to go straight to the Hootch and fish (which is a good measure of how good the writer sold me on his story).

The fly recipes were a must have for me, and I have enjoyed tying my own versions ever since.

Sarge must have raised you right... LOL
