Took my little 6'6" 2wt for it's first test run today on the pond. Found the big bream bedding. Caught 13 bull bluegills and one LMBass of about 3lbs!!!! The little rod didn't fall apart and handled casting small #12 and #10 weighted Wooly Buggers just fine. Have now ordered a 9' 5wt 4pc SCIV for my next project. Thanks for the help guys, this is pretty darned cool!!

Congrats, but do you realize what you have gotten yourself into? You could end up doing stuff like this.

BD - "this is pretty darned cool!!" pretty much says it all!!

And, I'm awaiting a blank butt section for the 5-piece brother to your 5wt! Burl rings are curing and the fiddleback maple from the Struble U8 has been stained and is being Tru-Oiled. I love the rod, but couldn't handle the factory grip. You are gonna have a ball with yours!
