Rod #2 is coming along :)

Got my second rod blank from the UPS man Monday and it is coming along. Learned a lot, and I do mean a lot on the first rod but it works. This is the one I really wanted all along, 9' 5wt 4pc SCIV blank. Building it to take out west next year. I think the SCIV blanks are the ones the Legend Ultra rods are built on. Anyhooooo, it's coming right along and should be vastly improved from the first rod, thanks for all the tips and help guys.

Don't beat yourself up too much. Rod #1 looked just fine to me. You will never say, "man that rod is mighty perfect" or anything along those lines, with any rod. YOU will always see something that could have been done a little better....but to most folks, they will never know the diffrence. I saw rod #1 and it looks just fine, better than my #1 ;)...which I MAY show you one day. ;)

Thanks for the kind words, Robert. Hey Man, when we gonna go climb the falls again???? ;) I could barely move Tuesday morning. Needless to say, I did not hit the pond, probably will soon though, give me a holler.

Climb the falls?! It will have to be when it hasn't rained for a week or two and the ground has had a chance to dry out some.....no more 30 foot slides down the mt into the water....just above the falls for me, thank you very much. You do know how dead we would have been had we hit the water and gone over the falls....yes? But at least I got my brookie. Guess I'll have to wait a year for you to get the film taken in ;)
BTW....that crappie the other day was mighty large....maybe the largest one I have ever caught on the fly.
