View Full Version : Ga TU Chapters....
As a courtesy to the Georgia TU Chapters, here is a link to the Ga. Council TU site with a list of all the active chapters listing meeting locations and times as well as the current officers and their emails.
Many NGTO’ers are TU members and NGTO continues to extend our communication medium to all the chapters through the TU Forum. Chapter secretaries please feel free to come here and post your chapter’s news and events. You may get a few extra pair of hands on your work project as well as gain a new member or two!

Greg, thanks.
as it so happens the Kanooka Chapter will be meeting this evening on the east side of town (Snellville).
July 12, 2005 - 6:30 p.m. Logan's Roadhouse on US 78 at Killian Hill Road.
All manner of anglers welcomed (fly, spin, boat, bank, wade). Of course, tonight's meeting might be a great intro into flyfishing/casting (hint, hint...) ;)

Greg!
Thanks for the post. NGTO has been recognize working with and supporting TU chapters.
NGTO sponsored two kids at the TU Trout Camp.
NGTO members supported the TU Tailwater Chapter Smith Creek Work Day this year.
NGTO member Chuckwagon volunteered materials and constructed the benches that we installed at the parking lot at Smiths!
NGTO was a significant participant in the sucessful fight against NPS and the Chattahoochee Management Plan.
NGTO members have always supported the TU Tailwater Chapter Kids Fishing Event.
NGTO sponsored and supported the Settles Bridge clean up project.
This was all in this year. I'm sure I missed some other events but I wanted to say Thank you to NGTO. You are supporting issues but may not be getting credit. For those who don't know about these projects, get involved. You won't regret it.
Now NGTO has their own project. Waters Creek workday is September 27th. I'm sure that TU will be there, what about NGTOers?

I believe NGTO also sponsored the 2005 Youth Clinics put on by the Upper Chattahoochee Chapter of Trout Unlimited in Roswell, Georgia. I know that there were, at the least, a couple of NGTO members there representing the organization. I cannot remember who they were; but, hopefully, we will have an even better turnout of NGTO volunteers next year.

The waters creek workday is a phenominal success partnered by NGTO and TU. Anonymous people have donated time and labor as well as a few snazzy T-shirts. Without the collaboration it would not havce been the success that it is.
