I finally finished my Dan Craft ft rod. It seams like forever since I started working on this rod. Moving can really slow you down. Anyway here are some pics. The reel seat looks black in the pics but it's titanium. Hope you like. Josh

Nice work Josh!

What are your thoughts on the FT overall? I've always heard good things about them, but haven't had one in my hand. How would you describe the action, feel, overall quality, etc?

Hey, Josh,

That sure would look good in a 9' 4 wt...........I know you cannot measure time, but what other costs were involved?

VERY NICE!

Thanks guys.
I have only had a chance to cast it in my back yard, But i really like the way it cast. The rod feels really good in hand. I read a review that said was A fast action rod but that it had a med action tip, that seems to be true. It cast good long but also feels and cast good short. If anyone wants to cast it let me know,
mabe someone can show what this thing can really do.

Here is the break down for you b-kar-mar. Keep in mind that there are some really good blanks for a lot less than this one.
Blank- $90 - Rocky mnt.
Reel seat and insert- $47 - hook and hackle
Cork - $22 - Mudhole
Guides- $20
Plus a few small items I had from before.

Hook and hackles IM6 9' 4wt kit is only $58 right now. This is a really good blank. I built one for my dad you need to try it out.
