Left Tuesday evening from Atlanta for a trip to Boone for a week of fishing with my buddies from college. We fished today and had a blast. We started the day fishing the DH section of the Watauga river and caught more trout than we could keep track of. Out of one hole I caught a 23 inch bow and a 27 inch bow. I attached the pics of both fish but they really dont do the fish justice at all. After we got done having fun with the stockers, we headed to some small wild trout streams. The little wild fish jumped all over dry flies till dark. It was a great day on the water, and Im looking forward to the rest of the week.

Fished Thursday on some high elevation wild brookie streams. It was awesome, the fished jumped all over dry flies. Any attractor pattern dry fly would bring the fish up. I just used what I could see easily. Most fish were around 6-10 inches, and were in full colors. It was a nice day on the water, and I dont think the weather could have been any better. Im gonna attach some pics of the stream on the other post that I wrote.

Fished the Natahala DH Wed, Thru, Friday. Great fishing. Brookies, Browns and Bows all three days. Wolly's with flash, lighting bugs, Y2ks with a little shot, hoppers on top. They were hungery. Water is down alittle.

The Hala was fishing great all weekend...more crowded on friday than Sunday. Taking Stimy's and para adams, occasionally they would take the nymph. Great dry action though...really not too crowded.

The "hala" is that like the "Maddy" , the "Beav", or the "Hoochie"?
