Deschutes last weekend

I spent the weekend in the Mack's canyon section of the Deschutes last weekend.

No steelies this weekend. Once the sun hit the water, the time to swing wet flies is over, but did catch this 13" Redside on a Stonefly nymph dredging the bottom for steel. It put a good bend in my 8wt.

Back to the swing at dusk. Caught thid 14"er as I was winding up my last cast. It took drag from an 8 wt! This really shows why they call them Redsides...

Can't make the Fling, entertaining the kids this weekend, their choice of fun.
