I'm sitting here waiting for my kids to get home from the Casting Crowns concert and I was wondering about something:

Which is better trout bait...Little niblets or just some generic brand like they sell at Wal-Mart? And do the trout prefer salted or unsalted?

I really don't want to know for myself I was just wondering for a friend of mine.

I think I'll finish this last bottle and go on to bed now.

I'm just kidding y'all. Quit screamin'. I know it's bad enough that I spin fish but I swear to the Almighty I don't even have a jar of powerbait! Although I have been wondering if that goo juice they sell at Wallyworld to put on yer bait works. I especially wonder about it whan I get up at 3 AM to get up to SGW and spend 6 hours wading without a bite. Maybe one of these days I'll pit a Little Niblet on my Rooster Tail.....LMAO!!!!

I will gladly admit to owning all kinds of baits like that. The "goo" I think you are talking about is the PowerBait dip and it does work well. I only use those types of baits when I plan on eating some of the stocked trout that I catch which has become more and more of a rare thing. Otherwise I avoid using natural baits at all cost. I prefer the Roe version of the dip. Call me a dip if you want but I prefer catching fish to being frustrated all day.

Try the power eggs. They look like salmon eggs but are plastic. And they will last and last. Different colors too. I like the white ones best.
