Changing the color / finish of a blank

I was look at my next project and the bland I want to use comes in a matte gray. Which is fine, but have a few in that color. I was wondering if there was a way to change the blank color?

There was a thread regarding this subject about 5-6 months ago on this forum. GTS had some great info. Check it out.

I searched for about an hour yesterday; must not of had the right key words.
After reading the post, maybe matte gray is not so bad. :D
