Smithgall Fishing?

I will be up there tomorrow. Havent been since last Spring. Has the fishing been good? Cant wait to get on the creek. Its going to be cold. Oh well...it worth every bit. What has been working lately. Any help on section choices or flies of choice would be appreciated.

Fished Dukes the past 2 weekends and the fishing has been very good. The number of hookups is still pretty high, but the size of the fish has been the really impressive aspect, all nice fish, most over 15 inches. I did well on small soft hackles and midges on 5X fluoro fished under a small indicator and enough shot to get them on the rocks. In general, this time of year it also pays to try some big ugly stuff to get some big fish a nice meal. I fished section 1 both times, but section 4 has slightly warmer temps and some nice deep slow pools that I know holds some bruisers. Should be a good day no matter where you fish, good luck and let us know how you did.
