OK Spinboy and Mossy,,,

Tell us how you guys did on the Cartecay today. I gotta know since the only fishing I did today was on FlySim. I'm jealous HOWEVER...something big happened today for us all so I'm all good with not going fishing. Details to follow

I was certainly impressed with my first trip to the Cartecay. Thanks to Mossy for the invite. We started fishing around 11 this morning and BrandonT appeared maybe a half hour later. There are some really FAT fish in that river. That trout club being upstream is helpful....I didn't keep up with all the fish but we had to have caught close to 20 all together. All quality fish...I don't think I netted a fish under 13". That's not very long but they were overly healthy thanks to the feeders upstream.

Mossy already mentioned that I caught I steelhead...not that big...22.5"...4 1/4 lbs. I was very impressed but that's only because I haven't caught one bigger. Sorry purists, I caught it on the spinning rig...thus the name. I did catch a decent fish on my new 3wt though (Thanks Drifter).

Watch for those pics of the stringer Mossy kept with our fish. They are unbelivably fat and I'm guessing yummy on account of that.

we caught all together about 15 average 16inches ( yes we did )

Much thanks to Garrett for the great hospitality. As John was saying, all of the fish were fat and healthy. Purina Trout Chow does a body good... especially in Georgia streams ;) I tried to go natural for a while, but didn't have any takers. I ended up going trashy in the end. LOL

we find out December 27th what the baby is, boy or girl. The Fantasy Goddess says girl ad I tend to believe her as she seems to know what she's doing ;) . Thanks for asking and please keep Leah in your prayers. Docs say this is a high risk pregnancy since she's had so many and because she's 35. We are going for one of those new 3D ultrasounds and we will actually get to see the baby's face! How cool is technology? Thank You Royal Automotive Group for the great health insurance!!

I'd love to sink my line in your stream sometime. Maybe after the first of the year I can bring Levi up and we'll fish and I'll take you out to dinner. The trout pics are awesome!

I have 6 and 7 is on the way. We believe that life begins at conception, however and that's why I say Dad Of 7 because even though she isn't here yet, I still love her and she has a name, Isabella. I also have the bills that come with an unborn child...lol ;) .

I know my ol' buddy Spin will let me know what he used. Right Spin?

Spinerboy gave me some of those wobbler's and I tell ya, I never would have thought it working, but it does, BIG TIME....
The roe seemed to work too, though I did catch afew without the roe..
BrandonT would have landed more if he'd brought his net !! I bet next time he'll bring it...And I think we all need a bigger net to boot..
