fish dukes on christmas eve and it was stinkin cold...when we arrived it was 21 degrees so just about every cast we had to dip our rods in the water cause our guides kept freezing...for me, I had to just about hit the fish with the fly to get them to hit it but I managed to catch two- a brown and a rainbow. I'll try to get those pictures up in the next day or so...

Glad to see some of you got out and tried it...
Myself, Dad of Plenty, his friend Robby & Dad of plenty's son came up yesterday, we caught afew, the Bows wasnt as hungry as when Spinboy & BrandonT came up to fish with me, but it was fun...Yes the ice was present on the over hanging branches, not too mention the ice I had to break off of my buttocks each time I slipped and fell into that shallow deep hole that I always seemed to not catch my fall.. Oh don't worry Dad of plenty, I saw you snicker when I slipped, I giggled when you fell too ! you better get those felt soles replaced soon...
Its amazing how something so little can make a grown man laff ;)
If anyone goes down stream on the Cartecay and finds a fly box with the name Dad of 7 on it, please call him, he is so heart broken...
PS...Dad of 7, glad to see I could entertain you with my last slip, right in front of your son, he sure enjoyed that one, " he ask me " well, was it cold ??? ha ha ha ha ha

Levi is a smart aleck but he grew up with me so he had no choice. I felt like an ice skater out there. Some rocks were ok to step on but the next one was slippery as heck. I probably scared more fish off that I could count and that's why I couldn't catch any. I think I had a bad case of vertigo. :D
If'n your rod ain't fixed by the time I come back you can use the Sage I bought from Robbie. Oh...BTW...Thanks for helping me negotiate. You helped Robbie make an extra 150 bucks!! I had him at 250 in the truck on the way up. Thanks Pal!!! ;)
We'll do it again soon.

Richie, I think I saw your WASH ME truck at Dukes on Sat. I would agree with your friend, it needs a good washing. :) Almost as dirty as my old ride.
Fishing was slow for me also. I only got to fish section 1 for a couple of hours and landed two decent bow's.

section 4...you could tell the water levels were down a lot...but still had some good holes. I have something personal going on with one of those monsters so I'll be returning soon :D
I think I saw a few like that :) Seeing those pics reminds me how cold it was that morning. I did'nt get my first fish till 10am, the first 2 hours the rod and line were frozen. I was fine thou :)
Nice pics :)

Nice pics. I only managed to land one average fish. I then lost a battle with a huge friggin pig later in the afternoon. I remembered that I thought my line was all screwed up that morning. It ends up that the ice was forming on the line. LOL
