Well my dad and I wound up fishing most of the Monday after Christmas down on Lake Lafourche (used to be part of Lafourche Bayou but was cut off back in the 60's). My dad caught 2 LM in the afternoon on spinner baits (with hand tied trailers), I on the other hand came up empty. With tempertures warming the bass were moving up into the shallows to feed on shad.
We camped out Monday night and woke up tuesday to 10 to 15 mph. We fished till about 12:30, this time I caught 2 and he came up empty, but were forced off the water to high winds (gusting to 25 mph) and white capping water.
Well the trip was good for the most part. 4 LM's with a total weight of about 5 to 6 pounds.
