When the water is not generating, plenty of trout rising to midges...I've been doing well with a bead head pheasant tail stripped in on a very long leader. Most of the midges that I've seen are pretty small...I would say size 28-30, but I do get away with a size 22 griffiths gnat. Great place to take somone trying to learn to flyfish..plenty of casting room! But as with fishing some days are good some days are bad...most good days being warmer weather allowing the midges to hatch.
