I slept through the weather last night after hitting the sack early in hopes of an early rise to fish the Ami. Either the rain was terrential or the Ami turns to Yoo-Hoo flood water in no time. I drove all the way down there just thinking there were a few harmless showers overnight..... :( .

Does it always turn unfishable that quickly?

It rained pretty hard this morning before it got light.. Norcross gage said just under .5" Checked the hooch and it was stained at MF, green at SB, and muddy at hwy20.

Garrett how long does it take for your water to clear??

normally takes 2 or 3 days for it to clear to normal

Spin... we got over 1" of rain up here last night... it came in a hurry... like an hour... lots of thunder/lightning/wind... anytime the Ami area gets 1" or more in less than 4 hours or so, it gets muddy...

I started to post that the Ami would be blown out today, but forgot... drove over it yesterday and it was already a little stained even then... i'm really not sure why it is so susceptible to getting blown out... most of upstream is in the Dawson Forest... there is some farm land (with thin buffer) up near Afton Road.
