My pastor is going up to Arkansas to fish the White river and another river I cant remeber the name. But hes going the week of March 17, I am going to tie some flies up for him does anyone know what is good to use mid-march up there?

about flies but the other river is probably the Norfork. Whatever you do, hang on tight! There are monster trout everywhere in those rivers. Good luck.

Yeah he said they are going to both of them while they are there. He is pretty exited him and his brother bought 70 acres and a cabin right near the white river. He invited me to come up some time when im free, man that would be awsome!

Thought I saw an article a while back that said the Y2K was the fly of choice in Arkansas and may have originated there.

Can't go wrong with some of those in your kit.

I was there back in the fall of '04. The fly of choice then was a scud. Not sure if the trout will be hungry for something else in March as opposed to September, but it would be worth bringing a few.
