smiths question

ive fished smiths a few times before and im wondering exactly how far downstream the dh runs. the fartest ive been is right after the trail splits in 2 and the creek takes about a 90 degree turn into some really heavy cover. how much further than this is there to the water and does one of the trails eventually run back beside the river. im not to good at reading maps so this might sound like a dumb question to some but i was just wondering

about another 200 yards...not that much. The trail goes up the mountain and doesn't really come back down to the creek

blb, I'm not sure where you are referring to exactly. If you're just below the treatment pond, you have quite a ways to go. The stream runs along the creek then leaves it, then comes back. There are some places that you can't see the creek from the trail, but keep walking. The best water is the farthest away. I can't remember exactly, but I think there is something like 1 1/2 miles of stream.

this is a ways past the treatmment pond. after the pond it is the next bridge i believe.
