finless brown

I got to fish for some wild trout on Friday afternoon near Ellijay. Hit the water around 1:00. Managed about 25-30 fish in 4 hours. I fished a stimulator with a pheasant tail dropper. Caught probably 3-1 on the nymph. Water was high with a little stain. The fish, bless them, were acting like trout are supposed to in high water- they were up on the banks and rather easy to catch, provided that I didn't spook them. Most were 5-8 inches, had a few that were 10" and two that were an honest 12". Not a single brown in the bunch, which suprised me. I expected the browns to be hot with that stain on the water. Oh well......
As for insect activity, there were a few of the early caddis on the water, as well as an occasional stone, and the constant little midgy looking things. I wouldn't call it a hatch though. Sorry about the lack of photos- I forgot my camera, which usually leads to good fishing
