Hi - I am a conscientious, catch and release fly fisherman from Deland, FL. Me and a buddy have been fishing the greater Clayton area for 15 years.

I was wondering about Warwoman Creek. We have fished it at the cross-over that goes to the Chattooga, both upstream and downstream of the cross-over. I once tried to fish upstream out of one of the campsites, but the water was way to high.

Anyone fish the Warwoman? Any suggestions? There does seem to be some interesting water between the campsites and the cross-over. Thanks and I really enjoy this site.

Nick,
I have had pretty good luck at Warwoman , but I fish spinners so I wouldn't be much help on the flies there. I have had better luck near the area where it flows into Chattooga.
When I first started fishing that area about 35 yrs. ago, it was much more remote and unspoiled all around Clayton. Time has brought much development.
While the West Fork and main Chattooga are my favorites, we still occasionally fish several other areas nearby. There's plenty of water.
